It was time!

We took our tree down yesterday.  It was time!  I usually don't try to keep a fresh tree as long as we had this one, but our daughter's family was coming for Thanksgiving instead of Christmas so I put it up mid November.  The tree stopped taking up water a couple of weeks ago and began dropping needles.  When I undecorated it yesterday, this is what the floor looked like under the tree.  I am amazed at how many needles are on one tree!!
Then by the time we actually got it out the door, I swept/picked up more needles before vacuuming.  This 13 gallon trash can holds the needles I could scoop up with my hands.  I haven't emptied the vacuum bag yet but I would imagine the trash can would be overflowing if I did.

It is such a relief to be getting the house back to normal.  I am looking forward to beginning a new year.

May God richly bless each of you reading this in the coming year with SHALOM!!
