Wearing a mask?

I am totally against the mandate to wear a mask as protection from the Coronavirus. I believe it is actually harmful to your health.  And I resent those who are trying to shame and manipulate those of us who have researched the effectiveness of masks into wearing one.

Here are a few quotes from professionals early in the pandemic cited by Michelle Malkin in her excellent article:  Mask mandates are a public health menace.

Dr. Fauci, in the beginning of the pandemic:  "There's no reason to be walking around with a mask."

Michelle Malkin says at that time Fauci's "fellow experts in the federal public health-industrial complex dismissed surgical masks as inadequate protection from small airborne particles and warned that they did not form adequate seals around the face."

In February, Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams stated:  "Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS! They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus..."
In March, Dr. William Schaffner, professor of medicine in the division of infectious diseases, Vanderbilt University said:  "There's not much we can do, so we're all walking around feeling rather victimized by this virus. By using a mask, even if it doesn't do a lot, it moves the locus of control to you, away from the virus."
Or this, Lynn Bufka, a clinical psychologist and senior director for practice, research and policy at the American Psychological Association 'Even if experts are saying it's really not going to make a difference, a little (part of) people's brains is thinking, well, it's not going to hurt. Maybe it'll cut my risk just a little bit, so it's worth it to wear a mask,' she says. In that sense, wearing a mask is a 'superstitious behavior.' ..."
Ms. Malkin goes on to quote Dr. Judy Mikovits who says, "The more effective a mask is at blocking normal air flow, the greater the problem with decreased oxygen and increased carbon dioxide a person is likely to have. The less effective a mask is at blocking normal airflow, the less of a case can be made for using it..."
I believe it is assinine to consider only opening schools if children are wearing masks!  If I had school aged children I would not allow them to go under those conditions.  Here are a few more facts quoted by Michelle:  The total number of deaths for school-age children between February and July 2020 are 9 (under 1 year of age); 7 (ages 1-4); 14 (age 5-14); and 149 (ages 15-24).  Isn't it insanity to put kids as risk in breathing excess carbon dioxide caused by mask wearing when they are almost totally excluded from serious complications of the virus?
What has happened to thinking people in this country?  Fear is ruling every thought and action!
