I was surprised to see this site in the woods everywhere I looked!

Obviously there will be enough spiders this year! I had never before noticed the webs being so visible so I took a closer look. I hope you can you see in the photo--the reason they stand out so much is that the fibers are coated with droplets of water.

As I continued walking I came across this dead tree which the woodpeckers had been working on. They have certainly been busy!
It was a perfectly still morning so a wonderful time to go walking. I even startled a few deer from their resting places. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo. Their white tails were a beautiful site as they leapt over fallen trees!
It is a great blessing to be able to enjoy God's creation in the stillness of the woods. You are invited to come with me any time you are in the neighborhood. I love sharing our Shalom.
