Heritage Days On The Old National Road Poster

We hope you are planning to come to this fun, exciting festival.  Our committee has been hard at work preparing for it!  We feel it is going to be an event not to be missed.  All events are free, so why not plan a mini-vacation and come enjoy a peek at the past in a small town atmosphere?  The Friday Night of Bluegrass kicks off the Festival with 4 bands in 4 hours at our new amphitheater and then the daytime events move to the Fairgrounds where there will be great artist vendors selling and demonstrating their hand-made crafts and lots of great festival food.  Kids, in particular, seem to be fascinated by the Native American re-enactors with their teepees and utensils and love the barrel train rides.  The Draft Horse, Mule & Haflinger Show is going to be spectacular!  Since we are a qualifying show for the North American Draft Six Horse Hitch  and the Haflinger Six Horse Hitch, some of the magnificent horses participating have been featured on the RFD Channel's Gentle Giant TV show.
And who doesn't enjoy a night of laughter?  Aaron Wilburn is one of the funniest men I have listened to.  I can hardly wait for his event at the Amphitheater, but then since it is the closing event of Heritage Days that will mean the Festival is over.  Not to worry though because the fun will continue with the Martinsville Ag Fair which will begin on Monday.
