Disappointments and Blessings

Today I'm in a state of flux.  We were to leave on a trip to the Bahamas tomorrow, but a huge storm has hit our area.  We are getting sleet right now and already have about 1/4 inch of ice on everything.  Do I pack?  It doesn't seem possible we will be able to get to the airport, but then what if we can in the morning and I'm not packed.  Since we were meeting our daughter and her family there it is even more of a disappointment.  But before I could feel sorry for myself I received an email from a friend who told me of someone whose house is on fire right now.  That really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
I am very grateful to have a warm house in this extremely cold and miserable day.  Actually, I have so many things that I am grateful for that a missed trip to the Bahamas is very small in comparison.

We're so disappointed!!! :( But your perspective is exactly right...we are so blessed and missing a trip to the Bahamas is minimal compared to the struggle many are facing right now. However, I'm still holding onto hope for a "heat wave" through your area by morning :)
Love you!
