Rufus Moseley

Rufus Moseley was an amazing man.  He understood how much Jesus loved him more than anyone I have known.  Because of his understanding of that great love, Rufus also loved others to a greater degree than anyone I've ever known.  He understood & lived the term "union with Jesus."  He had a marvelous wit and an unusual delivery of sermons.  He was a remarkable giant of the faith.  Here are some quotes I have collected.

"I have lived in the consciousness that to have Jesus in me and for me to abide in Him is of such infinite worth that nothing must be allowed to break, even for an instant, this ineffable union."  Rufus Moseley, Manifest Victory
"With a little faith and love, by seeking to render all kinds of services without pay and some of them at considerable personal expense, and by being glad to work with my hands when there is nothing more urgent, never since I started this way have I needed to take up a collection for myself or even give a hint of my need. So far as I’ve tried it, the Jesus way of even desiring to put first what is first and to be a giver of all possible good and only a giver of good, will make you far more secure even on the way of the supply of ordinary needs than any other way of life."
--- J. Rufus Moseley; from "Manifest Victory"
"I was never meant to be disciple of any disciple; I can only be a disciple at first hand of the Teacher of Teachers. . . . I cannot be anything other than an immediate disciple of Jesus and the Spirit of truth, getting my orders direct from the Source, not through imperfect and too often blind guides."
"The mystery is that God, the author of this stupendous universe, can enter into such intimate fellowship with such tiny creatures as ourselves and achieve such grace, wisdom, and boldness in such stuff as we are."
"In the fourth empire philosophy reverts to its divine and original meaning--the love of wisdom, for it becomes an act of insight and contemplation rather than a process of reasoning. Instead of being a matter of opinion and counter opinion, it becomes the act of seeing and loving the self-evident processes and laws of life and thought, enabling and necessitating the joyous approval and perpetual celebration of the ways of God and of life. Philosophy becomes the understanding and self-evident explanation of ultimate reality."
"I knew this was the secret. If we abide in His love and always go in love, feeling and willing and giving out nothing but love and all possible love to all men and all things, we will always be in Him and under His anointing. It was made known to me that I could write editorials and do everything else that can be done in the loving Spirit of Jesus. I could even be in Heavenly places while plowing with a mule, pruning trees, in courtrooms, in death cells, in all places of need, provided all was done in the Spirit of love. It was also clear that one may give all his time to so-called religious work and yet, unless this work is done in the Spirit of Jesus, he will be outside of the Kingdom of God. It is not what we are doing, but the spirit and motive in which it is done that counts with God."
"If you are giving out God's love all the time, you will be in God all the time, for you are always a part of what you are giving out."
"Everything that is done in love is done by God Himself."
“. . . the Jesus way is that of immediate guidance and fellowship.  All who give themselves to be led by Jesus and by His good Spirit become like Him.  This is the law: You become like the one you believe in enough to give yourselfself as subject and follower.  Like leader, like people; like shepherd, like flock.  To follow the blind long enough and far enough is to go blind yourself as well as into the ditch.  Even those who follow the dry, the dull, and the dead also become dry, dull, and dead.  Everywhere it takes the ressurected to resurrect the dead.  The dead are expert on burying the dead, but have to become ressurected themselves before they can become channels for the abundant life of Jesus.”
"Wisdom is the way that love does things."
"It is better to do what a good book says than it is to read a book."
"God's gifts of love and forgiveness and peace are such that for them to flow into us freely, they must flow out freely from us to all. We can have all the love, peace, joy and everything else of God that we are willing to pass on and share."
"All who go His way of love and immediate discipleship, know each other and greet each other across the centuries." ---J. Rufus Moseley, from "Manifest Victory"
In his introduction to Rufus Moseley's book Perfect Everything, E. Stanley Jones describes Rufus's mystical state.
"It is easy to get tangled up in Rufus Moseley's approach to life and the paraphernalia that accompany that approach and miss the real thing. It takes some time to get him. One man said: 'The first time I heard Rufus Moseley I thought he was crazy, the second time I heard him I knew I was crazy.'
"Many are put off by his delivery. But you must understand that if his hands jiggle in spiritual rapture it is because it is the outer expression of his brain cells dancing at the sheer joy of being. He is inwardly laughing at the rhythm of life and his outer expressions are the attempt to express that inner laughter. "

I am sure that there were manifestations of the Spirit in him that people didn't understand

There used to be some video clips on line of Rufus Moseley. I can no longer find them. Do you have any knowledge as to where old clops of his messages can be heard? Thanks!
