Ray Hughes' Encouraging Word and Dale Gentry's Prayer for Today

Yesterday I heard a great talk by Ray Hughes.  He said that "God is not going to continue to appear to be silent on political correctness.  It is a set-up.  Right now the whole world is exposing their brokenness in the name of political correctness.  The more exposed they become, the more vulnerable they become to a great big wonderful God who is going to reveal Himself. They're already out.  They have already come out in their pride and arrogance; they have already exposed who they are and God is going to come out and expose who He is.  It's not going to be limited to yesterday's religious ideas about who He is."
That was one of the most encouraging explanations I've heard of what is happening in the world today.  I have been getting weary of the constant barrage of news that glorifies all that I believe is wrong--homosexual marriage, transgender change, Islam, allowing criminals like the Clintons to go free and even be admired instead of sending them to jail for the things they have done, removing the Confederate flag because someone might be offended, etc. etc. I am offended that all these things are happening!!!  Sometimes it seems as if we might as well give up.  That's why I am also posting Dale Gentry's prayer today.
It certainly speaks to my heart.  I am getting weary, aren't you?  It encourages me to continue to pray just as the message yesterday encouraged me that God has not yet had the final word.  Just as Galatians 6:9 says, we must "not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Good Monday morning America!  Would you pray this prayer out loud with me today?

"Dear Father God....................we pray today that fatigue does not determine our destiny.............that fatigue will not determine our fate...............understanding that when we get tired and weary we become eligible to make wrong choices.............knowing that when our soul gets tired and weary we can make decisions that undervalue our life.............discerning that the Bible shares stories of success and failure............illustrating the failures of men who became tired in their soul.............turning them into another person..............reading about Samson...........the strongest man on earth at the time.............losing his eyesight and his freedom after becoming tired and careless.............Esau selling his inheritance because he couldn't wait another day for a meal..............David too tired to lead his army into battle because of weariness of the soul.............carelessly falling into immorality................Elijah calling fire down from heaven one day and running from a woman the next day............weary from running he wanted to commit suicide...............help our nation to awaken from a tired soul today...............may we consider that You alone are our rest............our peace.............may we not sell our city, our nation out to another group that will change things into a country that we will not recognize............a place where our sons and daughters are put to forced labor.............a place where we long for the freedoms we once took for granted............refresh us Holy Spirit today...........may we experience another spiritual awakening in America..............get us up...........shake us...........stir us before it's too late........and we pray that You will anoint Leeland and Dale Gentry as they lead the Austin Music and Prayer session tonight.............in Jesus name we pray..........amen."
