A Word of Encouragement from Adam Thompson

This good word from Adam Thompson was posted on The Elijah List today.  So often we have listened to the words of the world, instead of listening to the words of the Lord.  He wants us to know that He has blessings and not curses for us.  Let's begin to prophesy life to our future!

Start Getting a Hold of His Promise
We need to start prophesying life into our future. Demonic powers are taking advantage of the bad news in the media, which takes the elements of factual events and uses them to put people into fear. Fear (if we live in it) then gives permission for demons to release Hell on the earth.

Now, even though it is true that there is chaos in the world, prophets can get caught up in the soulish realm. Their prophetic words then begin to parallel the bad news in the media, forecasting doom and gloom for the future. We have to be careful we don't give permission to the enemy to bring those things upon us.

What God wants us to do for 2015 is to: start getting a hold of His promise. Start getting that word, those promises, as a rhema, and start to decree blessings into our future. Start decreeing blessing into 2015 and reverse the curses that are being displayed on the earth.

Reverse the violence and the horror and speak, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven." A revelation of Matthew 6 needs to be established on earth just as it is in Heaven. We have to start agreeing with Heaven's promises. (Photo via flickr)
The Blessings of Abraham Are Yours
God gave Abraham the word in Genesis 12 to leave his mother and father and go into the land that was promised to him. Abraham stepped out in faith when he received that word and walked straight into a famine! The enemy had upped the ante to come against the word of promise with smoke and mirrors, but Abraham went beyond that in faith, and went into Egypt to receive help. And as you know, he came out of Egypt with blessing. He came out of Egypt as a wealthy man.

What the enemy meant for evil, God turned around for good. Even though Abraham lied and was fearful of losing his wife, God released power from Heaven that rebuked Pharaoh for taking Sarah. Pharaoh came under a curse for taking the godly man's wife. And you know the story: to compensate, Pharaoh quickly restored Sarah to Abraham and sent them out of Egypt with great riches.

I believe it's time for Christians to tap into the order of Melchizedek referred to in Hebrews 7. The incorruptible seed line of God, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David and Jesus is what we need to tap into to rise above the systems of the world.

That incorruptible seed principle of "borrowing from none but lending to many" is what the Jews caught hold of. They meditated on it day and night while wearing the phylacteries around their heads. We Christians need to tap into this too (the concept of meditating on Scripture day and night), renewing our minds so that we come into the blessing of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and rise above the world system.

When Isaac blessed Jacob instead of Esau, he said, "May God give you Heaven's dew and earth's richness – an abundance of grain and new wine. May nations serve you and peoplesbow down to youBe lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed"(Genesis 27:28-29). (Photo via Wikipedia)

The problem with many Christians at the moment is that they are bowing down to ungodly systems, being enslaved by them and living with great fear, when they could be tapping into the extreme blessing and revelation of the promise and have the system bow down to them.

Despite the fear of financial instability and forecasted horrors in the world, I believe 2015 will see many Christians coming out of that being blessed like Abraham was when he came out of Egypt.
