Martin Niemoller Quote

      If we are going to retain our freedom we must stand for the rights of others even though the laws affecting them may not pertain to us.  As Benjamin Franklin once stated, either we all hang together, or we will surely all hang separately.  As this Administration flexes its muscles and fights to subdue our God-given rights and liberties we must unite to retain the moral fabric and values on which this nation was founded.
This quote from Martin Niemoller was made while he was in Nazi Germany:
“First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—
and there was no one left to speak out for me.”
